The Worn Dagger is a weapon item found in Asgore's Home. It is referred to as the "Real Knife" when not on the Neutral or True Pacifist Routes. Its defensive counterpart is the Heart Locket. It is the Neutral/True Pacifist Route weapon item associated with the First Human.

- Transitioning from the Toy Knife to the Worn Dagger might symbolize the protagonist's growth to maturity, seeing as the Worn Dagger is acquired at the end of the game and how the CORE enemies are the advanced versions of the Ruins counterparts.
- Seeing how it is wrapped in a present box, it can also be considered a gift to Chara as a birthday present, implying they have "grown" and are old enough to handle the responsibility with such a dangerous weapon in hand.
